Please don’t post images with stopped rotor blades unless the helicopter is on the ground and shut down. Any photo of a flying helicopter or running on the ground must show some movement in the rotor blades. Any image that doesn’t will not be approved.

The simple answer is no. Helicopters are dynamic and work in a very 3-dimensional environment. Unlike other image databases where they will reject an image if it’s not straight and level we understand the world of helicopters. We will consider an image on its merits – not a predefined set of rules.

Because of the design of the website all images need to be landscape format images. Unfortunately this rules out those images shot vertically but it just didn’t work for the layout.

Anyone and everyone associated with the helicopter industry around the world – both civil and military. We have invited all the key players from the helicopter OEMs to come and checkout the images as well as many advertising agencies that work with the helicopter industry.

Big NO on that one. The website is designed to showcase images from the individual who took them so only post an image if it’s one that YOU took.

Absolutely. The more the merrier – if it’s an image you shot back in the Black & White box brownie camera days then please add it. We want the website to be a collection of all types of helicopter images from both present and past.

No you can post as many images as you wish. Try and ensure each image is different from a previous one that way you will always ensure it gets approved and added to the collection.

All our screeners are very accomplished aviation photographers in their own right who also specialise in shooting rotary wing subjects. They have all been involved in the aviation photography world for many years and their work is regularly seen in the worlds premier rotary wing publications.
